Training & experience
Dr Heeraj Bulluck is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Beacon Hospital Dublin, specialising in the diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease and complex chest pain syndromes. He provides comprehensive care for patients with angina, hypertension, dyslipidaemia, palpitations, and valvular heart disease, with a particular focus on microvascular and vasospastic angina, conditions that are frequently under-recognised despite causing significant symptoms.
He offers a full spectrum of contemporary cardiology care, including advanced cardiac imaging, invasive coronary assessment, and elective percutaneous coronary intervention. His clinical approach emphasises precision diagnosis, personalised treatment strategies, and long-term cardiovascular prevention, particularly for adults in midlife and beyond.
Dr Bulluck trained in cardiology in the East of England Deanery, rotating through Norwich, Ipswich, and Cambridge, and completed advanced interventional training at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital. He previously worked at Leeds General Infirmary and the Yorkshire Heart Centre, one of the UK's largest tertiary cardiac centres, where he developed extensive expertise in both complex coronary intervention and outpatient cardiology.
He holds a PhD from University College London, focusing on cardiac magnetic resonance imaging and tissue characterisation in myocardial infarction. He is internationally recognised as a clinical academic, with more than 125 peer-reviewed publications in cardiovascular journals, and regularly contributes as a reviewer and collaborator on international research and consensus work.
Originally from Mauritius, Dr Bulluck completed his medical degree in Mandarin in Beijing, China, reflecting a diverse and global training background.
Alongside his clinical and academic work, he is the author of Heart Reset 40, a practical guide to cardiovascular prevention for busy professionals. He is committed to delivering patient-centred, evidence-based care in a calm, unhurried environment, combining modern cardiology with a strong focus on long-term heart health.
